First Aid is one of the three secondary professions in World of Warcraft: Forever, alongside Cooking and Fishing. It does not use one of your two primary profession slots, so every character can learn it.

In Forever, First Aid is a general medical profession rather than just a bandage skill. As well as bandages, it crafts the Healing Potion line (which Alchemy no longer makes), Poultices that cure diseases, Tourniquets that cure bleeds, a full line of Anti-Venoms for poisons, and three camp objects for the new Camping system.

WoW: Forever is in beta. Everything on this page comes from Forever sources and the beta client, and may change before launch on 4 November 2026.

Why level First Aid?

[edit | edit source]
  • Healing Potions – Minor through Major Healing Potion are First Aid recipes in Forever. Any character can make their own potions without giving up a primary profession. (Alchemists instead make Discolored Healing Potions, which heal but carry a negative side effect.)
  • Curatives – Poultices, Tourniquets and Anti-Venoms let any class remove diseases, bleeds and poisons. Bleeds usually can't be dispelled by anyone, so Tourniquets help every group.
  • Bandages – Self and ally healing that costs nothing but cloth you loot from humanoids anyway.
  • Camping – First Aid's camp objects give a party-wide Stamina buff and stock the camp with potions and curatives.

No race has a bonus to First Aid. Every class benefits, but it matters most to classes without their own healing, such as Warriors, Rogues, Mages and Warlocks, and to anyone relying on potions in dungeons, raids or PvP.

Both vendors also sell Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage and Manual: Mageweave Bandage. Buy them while you're there.

Artisan First Aid (225–300)

[edit | edit source]

At character level 35 and First Aid 225:

  • Breadcrumb (optional): Alliance Trauma from Nissa Firestone (Ironforge) or Horde Trauma from Arnok (Orgrimmar).

  • Save 15 patients with Triage Bandages before 6 die to learn Artisan First Aid.

Recipes

[edit | edit source]

Skill colours are from the beta client: Yellow is where a skill-up stops being guaranteed, Grey is where skill-ups stop. "Learn" is the skill needed to learn the recipe, where a Forever source records it. Healing and cure values are the level 60 tooltip values.

Camping

[edit | edit source]

Camping is a new Forever system. A player builds a campfire (a Cooking craft), and other players add profession camp objects to it. Anyone sitting or crafting at the camp for 1 minute gets the objects' effects, whether or not they have the profession.

  • Around level 5 the quest The Great Outdoors introduces camping. You then get a "101" quest for each profession you've trained; hand it to your First Aid trainer to learn the First Aid Kit.
  • A Basic Campfire (Cooking 1) holds up to 3 camp objects, a Journeyman Campfire (Cooking 90) up to 5, and an Expert Campfire (Cooking 200) up to 10. You can only place one object yourself, so fill the rest with friends.
  • Each craft makes 2 objects, consumed when placed. Objects can be traded, but you need the First Aid skill to place one.
  • All camping features share a 1 hour cooldown.
  • Camp buffs are versions of class buffs and don't stack with them: the First Aid Kit's Stamina buff does not stack with Power Word: Fortitude. It fills in for a missing Priest rather than adding to one.
Tier Object Skill Effect Reagents Source
1 First Aid Kit 20 You and others sitting nearby gain Stamina (56 at level 60). Does not stack with Power Word: Fortitude. 3 Linen Bandage, Refreshing Spring Water Trainer (camping 101 quest)
2 Toxin Study 140 Contains Healing Potions and Anti-Venom, plus all First Aid Kit benefits. Anti-Venom, 2 Mageweave Bandage, 2 Simple Wood Blueprint: Toxin Study
3 Plague Doctor's Laboratory 300 Contains Healing Potions and Poultices, plus all First Aid Kit benefits. 2 Simple Wood, 2 Strong Anti-Venom, 5 Heavy Runecloth Bandage Blueprint: Plague Doctor's Laboratory

Players report that Tier 2 blueprints drop from dungeon bosses. Where each blueprint drops hasn't been confirmed yet.

Leveling 1–300

[edit | edit source]

This route is calculated from the beta client's own recipe tables. It hasn't been play-tested, and luck can add a few extra crafts. About 530 crafts in total.

Potion-first alternative (1–200)

[edit | edit source]

If you have spare herbs or cheap vendor reagents, Healing Potions can carry you from skill 1 because Minor Healing Potion is learnable at 1:

Skill Craft Qty
1–75 Minor Healing Potion 84
75–80 Lesser Healing Potion 5
80–90 Anti-Venom 12
90–125 Simple Poultice 53
125–155 Healing Potion 40
155–180 Silk Bandage 40
180–200 Heavy Silk Bandage 27

Legacy perks that affect First Aid

[edit | edit source]

First Aid earns no Legacy Points and has no profession title, since only primary crafting professions count. These account-wide Legacy perks still help (first-rank values):

  • Working Overtime (Professions): 4% higher skill-up chance for primary, secondary and class tradeskills.
  • Dedicated Study (Professions): Raises your lowest primary or secondary tradeskill by 1. 25 sec cast, 23 hr cooldown. Once all your tradeskills are at 300 it gives 2–4 random Elemental Essences instead.
  • Field Medicine (Adventure): Recently Bandaged ends 5 sec sooner.
  • Reagent Economy (Resourcefulness): Tier 1 camp objects cost no reagents, including the First Aid Kit.
  • Field Guide (Adventure): 8% shorter cooldown on adding camp features.
  • Permanence (Resourcefulness): Benefits from resting at a camp last 50% longer.
