Overview

[edit | edit source]

The Skyborne, who call themselves the shen'dorei ("hidden people"), are a race new to World of Warcraft: Forever. They are elves who have lived apart from the rest of Azeroth on Zephras Isle, sheltered by the wind spirits that watched over the island. Those spirits have now disappeared. Without them the island's ancient structures are starting to fail and its communities are drifting apart, and the Skyborne are being drawn back into the affairs of the wider world.

The race is split into two branches, and a player chooses between them, and with that between the Alliance and the Horde, when creating a character:

  • The High Order (Alliance) descend from the Highborne scholars of Eldre'Thalas.
  • The Windshapers (Horde) descend from the first high elves to be given the wind spirits' gift of elemental skysight.
