Overview

[edit | edit source]

The Alliance is one of the two player factions in World of Warcraft: Forever, standing opposite the Horde. What holds its peoples together is a shared code more than a shared homeland: nobility, honor, faith and justice, and a readiness to make sacrifices for others. Each member race brings its own gifts to the coalition, whether technical skill, arcane learning or spiritual insight, and puts them toward a common hope of a world that is both peaceful and just.

In World of Warcraft: Forever

[edit | edit source]

World of Warcraft: Forever entered beta on 17 September 2026 and is due to launch on 4 November 2026. The beta level cap is currently 30. Characters on the Alliance and the Horde cannot group with each other. Every character picks a faction at character creation, and that choice is treated as permanent.

Playable races

[edit | edit source]

Five races can join the Alliance: the four from the original game, and the High Order branch of the new Skyborne.

Race Starting zone Capital Leader

Dwarf Dun Morogh Ironforge King Magni Bronzebeard
Gnome Dun Morogh Ironforge High Tinker Mekkatorque
Night Elf Teldrassil Darnassus Tyrande Whisperwind

Forever adds three combinations the Alliance has never had before: Human hunters, Gnome priests and Dwarf shamans. Dwarf shamans make the shaman class available to the Alliance for the first time. The High Order Skyborne are an entirely new race and can be druids, hunters, mages, rogues or warriors.

Skyborne

[edit | edit source]

The Skyborne, also known as the shen'dorei ("hidden people"), are a race new to Forever. Every Skyborne character starts on Zephras Isle (levels 1–12) and chooses a faction during character creation. Skyborne who side with the Alliance belong to the High Order, descended from the Highborne scholars of Eldre'Thalas. Their Horde-aligned kin, the Windshapers, descend instead from the first high elves to be granted the wind spirits' elemental skysight. When the wind spirits vanished, both branches were drawn back to Azeroth.

Class availability

[edit | edit source]

All nine classes can be played on both factions in Forever. On the Alliance side, Shaman is open only to dwarves; on the Horde side, Paladin is open only to the Undead.
