Engineering is a primary crafting profession in World of Warcraft: Forever. Engineers build explosives, firearms and ammunition, goggles, trinkets and gadgets.

Forever adds 77 new schematics, including new field transporters, ammo and a top-end rifle. It also adds the Reagent Bot / Repair Bot / Anarchist's Workbench camp line, Merchant's Favor schematics, Craftsman's Writs and Legacy milestones.

WoW: Forever is in beta. Everything on this page comes from Forever sources and the beta client, and may change before launch on 4 November 2026.

Why choose Engineering?

[edit | edit source]

Specializations

[edit | edit source]

Gnomish and Goblin Engineering are both in the Forever client. Neither is needed to reach 300: the leveling route below leaves out their schematics.

Recipes

[edit | edit source]

Every Engineering schematic in the beta client, with its reagents, skill colours, requirements and recipe item, is listed on Engineering recipes. The list is built from the client's own recipe tables (build 1.60.1.70124).

Rank Schematics New in Forever
Apprentice (1–75) 12 5
Journeyman (75–150) 48 13
Expert (150–225) 74 22
Artisan (225–300) 121 49
Total 255 89

Counts are entries in the client's skill table, so they can differ slightly from the figures other sites quote.

New schematics in Forever

[edit | edit source]

The beta client has 246 schematics, 77 of them new, with 39 of the new ones at Artisan skill. New materials include EZ-Thro Shell, SAF-T Tube, Legionite Bar, Heavy Thorium Bar and Marefoil. Rough Dynamite, EZ-Thro Dynamite and EZ-Thro Dynamite II use different materials in Forever. The full list is on Engineering recipes.

[edit | edit source]

Engineers build camp objects that sit at a player's campfire. For how camps work, see Camping. Each craft makes 2 objects.

2 Repair Bot 140 Buy reagents and repair gear. 2 Whirring Bronze Gizmo, Bronze Tube, Heavy Leather Blueprint: Repair Bot
3 Anarchist's Workbench 300 Usable for recipes that need an Anarchist's Workbench. Essence of Anarchy, 2 Thorium Widget Blueprint: Anarchist's Workbench

Merchant's Favor, writs and title

[edit | edit source]
  • Merchant's Favor from Waylaid Crates buys Engineering schematics at the Azeroth Commerce Authority (Alliance) and Durotar Supply and Logistics (Horde).
  • Craftsman's Writs ask for Engineering items and reward reputation with those factions: 75 (Journeyman), 125 (Expert) or 200 (Artisan).
  • A profession Certification and title for 1,000 Merchant's Favor at 300 skill is expected on the same pattern as the other crafting professions. Not yet confirmed for Engineering.

Legacy

[edit | edit source]

Pairing

[edit | edit source]

Mining is the natural partner, since most of the route needs metal and stone.
