Template:Infobox Zone

From Warcraft Forever Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Infobox and stub content for a zone page. It only shows sourced facts:

  • continent: the continent the zone is on.
  • level_min / level_max (optional): the zone's level range. Leave them out unless you have a source; the row is hidden when blank.
  • name (optional, defaults to the page name), image and caption (optional).
  • dungeons=no (optional): leave out the automatic Dungeons section, e.g. to place it further down the page yourself.
  • raids=no (optional): leave out the automatic Raids section, e.g. to place it further down the page yourself.
  • towns=no (optional): leave out the automatic Towns section (towns whose town infobox names this zone), e.g. to place {{Towns in zone|zone=...}} further down the page yourself.
  • npcs=no (optional): leave out the automatic NPCs section, e.g. to place {{NPCs in zone|zone=...|heading=no}} further down the page yourself.
  • zonemap=no (optional): leave the zone map out. By default a small zone map is shown as a row inside the infobox, between the zone name and the continent; clicking it opens the full zone map (all pins, filters, "Not on the map yet") over the same page. Needs MediaWiki:WfMap-<Zone_name>.json and its image; without them (or if the infobox has an image=) the row is not shown. zonemap_name= (optional) names the data page if it differs from the zone name.

The opening sentence is written for you. A Towns section (via Template:Tl) lists towns whose town infobox names this zone. The Dungeons and Raids sections are filled in automatically from the Dungeons and Raids Cargo tables (the zone field of Template:Tl and Template:Tl) and only appear when the zone has one. An NPCs section (Vendors and Mobs tables, via Template:Tl) appears once NPCs have been logged in the zone. Adds the page to Category:Zones.

Example: {{Infobox Zone|continent=Kalimdor}}
